MGK is an agent for the ignition set and is a fuel gas mixture of propane and butane, combined with PYROSIL®, consisting of silicon-organic compounds. The MGK container combusts in the flame, forming a dense, firmly adhering SiO2 layer.
Product Information
The PYROSIL® precursors are silicon-containing substances and are dosed into a natural gas or propane flame during PYROSIL® treatment (also known as silicatization). This process results in amorphous silicon dioxide, which deposits as an extremely thin (5 - 100 nm), yet extremely adherent layer on the material surface. This layer significantly improves adhesion, for example, of paints and coatings during subsequent painting or printing.
