The pneumatic metal edge cutter MEC 600 has been developed for separating weld seams and for the secure and precise removal of the outer body skin. With two different cutting depths for aluminum and steel sheets, it ensures that only as much material is milled off at the wheel arch as necessary for the respective material, without damaging the inner sheet. The adjustable guide of the milling cutter allows for quick and easy adjustment of the MEC 600 to different angular positions of the body panels, while preserving the underlying sheet structure. The starter set expands the range of applications of the MEC 600 edge milling cutter in the standard version and increases the service life of the cutters with suitable cutting materials.Laser welding seams can be cut with the round head cutter and aluminium can be machined with the ALU flat head cutter. The DrillWax serves as a lubricant for the ALU milling cutter to optimise the application result and increase the service life of the milling cutter. The cutting oil should be used in every milling application on steel bodies as part of the repair process.
